Testing: ProGene Plant Research is involved in variety testing and development of new Trical forage triticale varieties and research on the management of these
varieties in the Pacific Northwest.
Breeding: Resource Seeds, Inc., Gilroy, California.
Production and Distribution: Connell Grain Growers, Connell, Washington handles seed production and distribution to a dealer network in Washington, North-Central
Oregon and North Idaho.
Seed Production and Sales in the Pacific Northwest: LM Davenport, Southern Idaho; Connell Grain Growers, Washington, Northern Idaho, Northeast Oregon, and Southeast
Oregon; Agrisource, Southern Idaho; Round Butte Seeds, Central Oregon; Winema Elevators, Northern California and Southern Oregon; McClintick Farms, Northern Nevada.

Pacific Northwest Information:
There are currently six forage varieties commercially used in the PNW to fit different needs.
Winter Triticales:
· Trical 815 High Quality Dairy Silage (awned)
· Trical 102 The Standard and Most Durable - Grazing, Silage, Hay (awnletted)
· Trical 103BB Versitile like 102, but quicker to Grazing Silage stage
(Beard Blocker) (fully awnless)
· Trical 336 Short season Silage (awned)
Spring Triticales:
· Trical 2700 Boot stage Hay or Silage (awned)
· Merlin the new spring fully awnless variety fully available spring 2007.
The above are all varieties with superior production and quality characteristics.
